S-Transistors Secures €2.6M Pre-Seed for Superconducting Transistors in Quantum Computing

S-Transistors, a deep-tech startup based in Espoo, Finland, has raised €2.6 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Lifeline Ventures. The funding was announced on August 31, 2026.

S-Transistors spun out of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and was co-founded by CEO Dr. Heorhii Bohuslavskyi and CTO Dr. Andrey Generalov. The company develops a new class of superconducting transistors that combine high-speed switching with ultra-low power dissipation. These transistors are patent-pending and have been demonstrated at wafer scale.

The technology aims to bring control and signal-routing electronics into the cryogenic environment of quantum computers. Its first product is a cryogenic multiplexer for existing cryogenic setups, serving as a stepping stone toward a quantum motherboard platform for scaling cryogenic quantum computers.

Longer-term applications include energy-efficient classical computing, AI and HPC hardware, spacecraft electronics, and particle detectors.

The funding will support the company's development efforts as it works to commercialize its technology.
