OrderEAT Raises $2M Seed Round Led by Chile Ventures
OrderEAT Secures $2 Million Seed Funding
OrderEAT, a Latin American school-canteen platform, has raised $2 million in seed funding. The round was led by Chile Ventures, with participation from Seedstars, Driven VC, Add Ventures, and angel investors Sergio Fogel, Alan Descoins, and Avedis Boudakian.
What OrderEAT Does
OrderEAT replaces cash, queues, and paper records in school cafeterias with digital ordering and payments. Parents top up a closed-loop wallet and track purchases from an app, while cafeteria operators manage point-of-sale, menus, inventory, and reporting from a single system.
Founded in Uruguay by Matias Craviotto, Luis Pedro Carrero, and Juan Manuel Rodriguez, the company launched its first product in 2019 and relocated to Mexico in 2023. OrderEAT now serves more than 600 schools and over 250,000 active students across ten Latin American countries, with Mexico as its largest market.
Cafeterias on the platform report faster checkout lines, higher sales, and less food waste. The company targets one million students within 18 months.

Why This Matters for Acquisition Watchers
This seed round provides OrderEAT with capital to expand its footprint in Latin America, particularly in Mexico, where it has already established a strong presence. The investor syndicate includes both institutional funds and notable angels, which may bring strategic guidance as the company scales.
The school-canteen payments space is a niche but growing segment, driven by the shift away from cash and the need for efficient cafeteria operations. OrderEAT's closed-loop wallet and integrated management system create a sticky ecosystem for schools and parents, potentially making it an attractive acquisition target for larger fintech or edtech players looking to enter the Latin American market.
With a target of one million students within 18 months, OrderEAT is focused on rapid growth. The new funding will likely support product development, market expansion, and customer acquisition efforts.
