Creoir Raises Seed Round Led by Gungnir Capital for Defence-Grade Voice AI
Creoir Closes Seed Round
Creoir, a Finnish defence-technology company, has raised a Seed round led by Gungnir Capital.
What Creoir Does
Creoir is based in Oulu, Finland, and was founded in 2012 by ex-Nokia engineers Antti Lilja (CEO), Jaakko Mattila (COO) and Oskari Ketola (CTO). Originally a product-development house working on early Jolla, Marshall and Amazon Alexa devices, it pivoted in 2020 to its own on-device speech technology.
The company now builds:
- EdgeVUI — defence-grade offline voice AI built on Cerence AI speech components
- Operator Assistant — an AI-powered knowledge base for mission-critical systems
Defence Engagement
Creoir's technology is in projects with defence primes including Saab, Leidos and TKMS. The company was also selected for the NATO Layered Counter-UAS Innovation Range (LCI-X).

The Seed round, led by Gungnir Capital, supports the company's continued development of on-device speech technology for defence-grade use cases.
