Tare Raises $13.3M Seed Led by Blockchain Capital for Private Credit Infrastructure
Tare, a Brooklyn-based fintech building blockchain-based infrastructure for private credit markets, has raised $13.3 million in seed funding. Blockchain Capital led the round.
What Tare Does
Tare builds infrastructure for private credit markets using blockchain technology. Its platform creates digital records of loans and automates the back-office work of originating, servicing and investing in credit.
The system connects loan originators and institutional investors through a shared, auditable system built on the Avalanche blockchain. By putting loan records and servicing workflows on a shared ledger, Tare aims to reduce the reconciliation and administrative overhead that traditionally sits between originators and investors in private credit.
The company also operates Tare Credit LLC, a licensed U.S. consumer lender.

Founding Team
Tare was founded in late 2023 by Kevin Miao, Keerthi Moudgal and Lucas Vogelsang. The founding team is described as credit and crypto veterans, a combination that maps directly onto the company's thesis: applying blockchain infrastructure to a market — private credit — that is fundamentally about underwriting, servicing and documentation.
Why Private Credit Infrastructure
Private credit has grown into a major asset class, but its operational backbone remains fragmented. Loans are documented across disparate systems, servicing is often manual, and investors frequently lack a single shared view of the underlying assets.
Tare's approach is to create digital records of loans and automate the associated back-office functions. A shared, auditable system addresses two persistent problems in the market: transparency for investors and operational cost for originators.
Building on Avalanche gives the platform a settlement and record-keeping layer with the throughput and programmability that credit workflows require. The involvement of the Avalanche Foundation as an investor signals alignment between the infrastructure provider and the network.
The Licensed Lender Angle
Operating Tare Credit LLC as a licensed U.S. consumer lender is a notable structural choice. Rather than remaining purely a software provider, Tare holds lending capability directly. That gives the company first-hand exposure to origination and servicing workflows, which in turn informs the infrastructure it builds for others.
What to Watch
The seed round gives Tare capital to develop its platform and expand its position in private credit infrastructure. The presence of both crypto-native investors and traditional asset management names in the round suggests the company is positioning at the intersection of two audiences: blockchain-native capital and institutional credit investors.
For a company founded in late 2023, a $13.3 million seed led by Blockchain Capital represents a substantial early commitment. The next milestones to watch are adoption by loan originators and institutional investors on the platform, and the growth of the Tare Credit LLC lending operation.
