Kuro is a Berlin-based construction technology startup building an AI platform for general contractors. It ingests a project's plans, specifications, reports and 3D models into a single data model layered with the contractor's own rulebook, then flags contradictions between drawings and specifications, analyzes scope and risk, enriches 3D models, processes public tenders and evaluates subcontractor bids. Founded in November 2024 by Lea Scherer and Jonas Minkler, who previously held leadership roles at construction-tech companies alcemy and Capmo, Kuro serves 12 general contractors — including six of the 20 largest in the German-speaking region, such as Goldbeck, Köster, Implenia, Geiger and Riedel — who report saving around 90 hours per bid.
