Golbriak Space is a Tallinn-based Estonian aerospace company founded in 2017 that develops compact laser communication terminals for small satellites, aircraft and drones. Its ERMES/ERMES+ and ARES product ranges transmit data over narrow optical beams at rates starting from 2.5 Gbps, with software-configurable hardware and relaxed pointing requirements that make the terminals easy to integrate and suitable for mass production. Founded by Nicola Garzaniti and Simone Briatore after a Copernicus Masters-winning CubeSat project, the company serves distributed satellite missions and also offers an optical downlink service alongside its hardware.
