Eevi (eevi.ai) is an Amsterdam-based edtech startup building a voice-first AI language tutor that teaches through real-time spoken conversation instead of the tap-and-swipe drills of gamified learning apps. Founded in 2025 by Filemon Schoffer, previously co-founder of Hubs.com, and CTO Jago Gazendam, the company ran a six-month closed beta with around 100 advanced learners before launching on iOS, Android and web. Its curriculum draws on more than 15 academic frameworks, adapts to each learner with per-user memory, and supports 14 languages.
