Overview
This skill generates professional 16:9 presentation slides in Excalidraw JSON format. It acts as a presentation designer: it summarizes input, creates a reviewable outline, and produces framed Excalidraw slide files with embedded SVG illustrations and a consistent visual system.
How this skill works
Work follows a resumable two-phase workflow: Phase 1 creates a kebab-case project folder and a checklist outline (slides_list.md) that breaks each slide into Narrative, Content, Visuals, and Layout. Phase 2 reads the checklist and generates Excalidraw JSON slide files (1600x900 frames), produces SVG illustrations, embeds them, saves files using the prescribed naming scheme, and updates the checklist as slides complete.
When to use it
- When you ask: "create slides", "make a PPT", "generate presentation", "create deck"
- When you request a deck from topic text or long content
- When you want slides output as editable Excalidraw JSON
- When you need a consistent 16:9 visual system and embedded SVG illustrations
- When you want resumable generation that allows review between phases
Best practices
- Provide a clear topic, goals, and target audience to improve slide structure and tone
- Supply source text or bullet points; the skill will summarize and prioritize content
- Review and approve the generated slides_list.md outline before full generation to control flow
- Choose sequential mode for iterative feedback or batch mode (2–3 slides) for speed
- Keep visual requirements simple and reference the 'Warm Paper & Morandi' palette if you need custom tweaks
Example use cases
- Create a 10-slide investor pitch from a product description and metrics
- Turn a research summary into a structured lecture deck with clear narrative flow
- Convert a blog post into a short slide deck for a conference talk
- Produce onboarding slides that match brand tone and follow the 16:9 layout standard
- Generate a marketing presentation with embedded illustrative SVGs and exportable Excalidraw files
FAQ
Yes. Phase 1 produces slides_list.md as a checklist for review. Generation proceeds only after you approve or request changes.
Will the slide files be editable in Excalidraw?
Yes. Output is valid Excalidraw JSON with frames, text, and embedded SVG images so you can open and edit them in Excalidraw.
