Overview

This skill provides precision editing and content workflows for prose, microcopy, and narrative structure. It detects the user's intent—edit, improve, review, or match a voice—and routes the request to the appropriate workflow. Use it to preserve author voice while tightening, restructuring, or scoring content for quality and clarity.

How this skill works

The skill inspects the incoming prompt and draft text to classify the task (precision editing, voice extraction, voice library management, narrative structuring, microcopy, or content evaluation). It then announces which workflow it will use, loads the relevant reference guidance, runs analysis passes with checkpoint prompts, and returns edited text plus rationale and exact replacement suggestions. Multi-step workflows pause at confirmation gates unless the user requests uninterrupted processing.

When to use it

• When you say: "edit this", "improve this", or "review my writing" and supply draft text
• When you want the assistant to write or adapt content in a specific person's voice
• When you need a clear narrative arc or structured outline for a story or long-form piece
• When you need short UI microcopy with tone variations and character limits
• When you want a quality evaluation or score with concrete fixes and replacement text

Best practices

• Start by providing the target audience, desired tone, and any voice profile to preserve
• Confirm the announced workflow before deep edits to ensure alignment
• Use the checkpoint prompts to iterate—respond to "Does this capture the voice you want?"
• Request exact replacement text for any flagged issues to make edits copy-paste ready
• Say "proceed without confirmation" only if you want an uninterrupted single-pass edit
