Overview
This skill converts technical living documentation into executive-ready stakeholder materials. It produces concise business summaries, progress dashboards, feature status reports, and non-technical release notes tailored for executives, product leaders, and customer-facing teams. Use it to turn engineering artifacts into clear, decision-ready communications.
How this skill works
The skill scans living docs and increment metadata to extract progress, metrics, risks, and decisions. It maps source types (specs, strategy docs, ADRs) to specific outputs—executive summaries, feature dashboards, business impact statements, and release summaries—then formats them in plain-language tables and short lists. Outputs are curated to emphasize outcomes, metrics, and next actions for stakeholders.
When to use it
- Preparing board reports or investor updates
- Creating monthly or quarterly stakeholder summaries
- Translating feature-level technical work into business impact
- Generating status dashboards for management reviews
- Drafting customer-facing release summaries
Best practices
- Use plain language and avoid engineering jargon
- Lead with outcomes and key metrics, not implementation detail
- Highlight risks and blockers up front with mitigation steps
- Keep content concise: one page for summaries, focused tables for dashboards
- Curate metrics—show trends and business impact, not raw logs
Example use cases
- One-page executive summary before a board meeting
- Feature status dashboard for a program review with product and ops
- Business impact statement to support a sales enablement deck
- Release summary for customers and operations teams
- Quarterly report summarizing deliveries, risks, and next-quarter priorities
FAQ
I read living specs, strategy docs, increment metadata, and ADRs to extract status, metrics, and decisions.
Can I include metrics and ROI calculations?
Yes. Provide development cost and measurable before/after metrics and I will calculate ROI and summarize impact.
Will you include technical details or code?
No. Outputs are non-technical by design—no code or architecture diagrams, only business-focused summaries.
