This skill generates a comprehensive crypto market report using CoinMarketCap MCP data. It delivers a structured daily snapshot, technical signals, derivatives metrics, trending narratives, and upcoming catalysts so users can quickly understand market conditions. Use it for quick summaries or deep dives focused on sentiment, BTC/ETH anchors, leverage, or narrative performance.

How this skill works

The skill pulls data from multiple CMC MCP endpoints: global metrics, technical analysis, derivatives, trending narratives, upcoming macro events, and BTC/ETH quotes. It assembles a prioritized report: Market Snapshot, BTC & ETH anchors, Market Technicals, Leverage & Sentiment, Trending Narratives, and Upcoming Catalysts. If any tool fails, the skill retries where appropriate and marks unavailable sections, returning a partial report with available data.

When to use it

When asking “what's happening in crypto” or requesting a market overview
To check fear & greed, BTC dominance, or altcoin season indicators
Before trading to review leverage, funding rates, and liquidations
To monitor trending narratives and sector performance
To prepare for macro or protocol catalysts that may move markets

Best practices

Request the full report for a complete daily read; ask for a quick summary if you only want the snapshot
Provide focus (e.g., derivatives, narratives) to expand the relevant section
Ensure the MCP API key is configured and reachable to avoid missing sections
If a section is missing, retry the request or ask for that section specifically
Use BTC/ETH anchors in conjunction with the snapshot for context on risk appetite
