Overview

This skill generates professional, web-ready HTML presentations and a matching PDF from markdown, URLs, plain text, or a topic. It produces visually consistent slides with AI-generated illustrations, keyboard navigation, and an automatic PDF export. The output is self-contained and targets 1920x1080 slides ready for presentation or sharing.

How this skill works

It ingests content from a markdown file, fetched URL, or user-provided text and drafts concise slide content in presentation/content.md for review. It analyzes reference images to extract color, typography, and layout cues, then builds a single inline-CSS HTML slideshow (presentation/slides.html) with keyboard navigation and per-slide images. The skill generates custom illustrations for slides, validates screenshots when tools are available, and combines slide images into presentation/presentation.pdf.

When to use it

  • You need a polished presentation quickly from a topic or plain text.
  • You have markdown or a URL and want a visual slide deck without manual layout work.
  • You want consistent styling that matches a set of reference images.
  • You require both an interactive HTML deck and a print-ready PDF export.
  • You want AI-assisted illustrations tailored to each slide.

Best practices

  • Provide an explicit source: .md file, URL, or a clear topic description to speed content drafting.
  • If input is not a .md file, review and approve presentation/content.md before design begins.
  • Supply reference images or brand colors to ensure the visual style matches your expectations.
  • Specify slide count or audience if you have constraints (default is 5–15 slides).
  • Accept or decline generated images; by default the skill creates at least 2–3 illustrations per deck.

Example use cases

  • Turn a project README or a blog post URL into a concise slide deck for stakeholder meetings.
  • Generate a pitch deck from a short topic prompt and get both HTML and PDF outputs.
  • Convert course notes in markdown into lecture slides with illustrations and a downloadable PDF.
  • Produce a product demo walkthrough with diagrams and branded visual style matched to references.
  • Quickly mock up investor slides from bullet points and export screenshots for review.

FAQ

Yes — if your input is not an existing .md file, the skill drafts presentation/content.md and waits for your approval before designing slides.

Can I skip image generation?

Yes — tell the skill you want no images. Otherwise it generates at least 2–3 images tailored to slides using the specified color palette and style.

What file locations are produced?

Interactive HTML goes to presentation/slides.html, the combined PDF to presentation/presentation.pdf, screenshots to presentation/slide_N.png, and editable text to presentation/content.md.

What happens if Playwright or Python aren't available?

If browser automation or Python is unavailable, the skill will still produce the HTML, content.md, and generated images, and will inform you that screenshot validation or PDF bundling was skipped.
