Overview
This skill transforms rough email drafts into polished, professional messages by fixing grammar, improving clarity, and adjusting tone and formatting. It preserves your intent while making emails suitable for clients, managers, or stakeholders. The skill enforces strict safety checks and refuses to process content that appears illegal, abusive, or unsafe.
How this skill works
The skill inspects the draft for grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, and readability. It runs multi-layer security checks (content classification, pattern recognition, sentiment/tone analysis, context validation, and PII detection) and either returns a cleaned, reformatted email or an immediate block with guidance if prohibited content is detected. Optional NLP and grammar tools can be enabled for enhanced suggestions; a minimal mode works with built-in checks.
When to use it
- Polishing a casual draft into a professional client email
- Fixing grammar, punctuation, and structure before sending
- Converting notes or bullet points into a full, formatted message
- Adjusting tone (formal, friendly, concise) for different audiences
- Preparing sensitive or high-impact communications for managers or stakeholders
Best practices
- Provide the target audience and desired tone (formal, neutral, friendly) up front
- Include context: recipient role, relationship, and the email objective
- Avoid pasting highly sensitive PII; the skill will warn and advise secure alternatives
- Review flagged security warnings and follow suggested safer channels when requested
- Request specific outcomes: shorter, more diplomatic, or action-oriented versions
Example use cases
- Turn meeting notes into a clear follow-up email with action items
- Rewrite a casual message into a formal proposal for an executive
- Edit a client update to improve clarity and remove jargon
- Shorten and tighten a status report for busy stakeholders
- Detect and warn when a draft contains possible phishing, fraud, or PII exposures
FAQ
The skill will detect PII or financial/health data, warn you about risks, and recommend secure channels or redaction. It will not format or transmit sensitive content without confirmation.
Will it process messages that look like scams or threats?
No. The skill implements zero-tolerance blocking for illegal, fraudulent, violent, or impersonation content and will refuse to format such messages while explaining why and providing safe alternatives.
