Overview
This skill captures and stores a reusable brand voice profile so all AI-generated content matches your style. It records tone, vocabulary rules, audience assumptions, formatting preferences, and platform-specific variations. Use it to onboard new content workflows, keep consistency across channels, and speed up content creation without losing your voice.
How this skill works
The skill interviews you (conversationally) to build a structured profile and saves it as a JSON file. When generating content, it reads the profile, applies tone, sentence and paragraph rules, vocabulary inclusions/avoidances, and platform constraints. It also supports analyzing existing content to extract patterns and updating profiles over time.
When to use it
- Creating posts or articles that must sound consistently like a single author or brand
- Onboarding contractors or new team members to a defined writing style
- Batch-generating platform-specific content (Twitter, LinkedIn, blog) without re-tuning prompts
- Reviewing AI outputs to ensure they avoid jargon, buzzwords, or off-brand phrasing
- Managing multiple brand voices for agencies or multi-project workflows
Best practices
- Start with a short profile and add detail over time based on output reviews
- Provide 2–3 good examples and 1–2 anti-examples to calibrate style quickly
- Use platform-specific overrides in the profile for length and pacing
- Run a quick voice-check after generation: match examples, avoid anti-patterns, and fit the platform
- Re-analyze real content periodically and update the profile when style evolves
Example use cases
- Generate a week of social posts that match your casual, direct voice and fit platform limits
- Onboard a freelance writer by sharing a brand-voice/profile.json for consistent outputs
- Analyze the last 10 blog posts to extract common sentence length, hooks, and preferred phrases
- Create client-specific profiles in a multi-brand folder and reference them by name
- Produce image captions and CTAs that follow the same vocabulary and tone rules
FAQ
Yes. Store profiles in a profiles/ folder and reference them by filename when generating content.
How often should I update the profile?
Update whenever feedback indicates outputs drift from your voice or when you add new platforms or topics.
