Overview
This skill performs an independent, professional quality review of Suno prompts and song lyrics. It detects AI-slop, clichés, weak lines, rhyme issues, and style/genre mismatches. The review returns structured, actionable feedback with severity categories and line-level suggestions.
How this skill works
The skill extracts prompt sections and lyrics from a file or direct paste, sanitizes the input, and identifies genre, mood, and vocal context. It asks a short set of evaluation-preference questions to tailor standards (specificity, contemporary balance, wordiness, show/tell). Then it launches a dedicated quality-reviewer sub-agent that applies genre-aware, production-level criteria and returns a structured report with scores and prioritized recommendations.
When to use it
- Before submitting a prompt to Suno to catch technical or copyright issues
- When you want an objective second opinion on lyrics for singability and emotional clarity
- To validate prompt structure, specificity, and genre alignment
- When checking for AI-slop, clichés, or mixed metaphors
- Before finalizing a song to improve hook strength and professional polish
Best practices
- Provide a complete structured prompt (genre, vocal, instrumentation, production, mood) for best results
- Use the interactive preference questions to set commercial vs. artistic standards
- Paste lyrics with line numbers or obvious stanza breaks to enable precise line-level feedback
- Run the review iteratively after making recommended fixes to verify improvements
- Avoid naming artists, bands, albums, or song titles in prompts to preserve copyright safety
Example use cases
- Review a saved prompt.md file in a project folder to catch structural errors before Suno submission
- Paste lyrics from a demo and get a prioritized list of critical and suggested fixes
- Validate rhyme scheme and syllable patterns for a pop hook to increase singability
- Check gender-pronoun consistency and POV clarity for a narrative ballad
- Assess whether contemporary references will date the song or serve authenticity
FAQ
Typical reviews complete within a minute for short prompts and lyrics; larger files may take slightly longer.
Will the reviewer know the content was AI-generated?
No. Inputs are sanitized and the quality-reviewer evaluates material neutrally against professional standards.
Can I customize how strict the review is?
Yes. The skill asks four preference questions to adjust specificity, contemporary balance, wordiness tolerance, and show/tell balance.
