Overview
This skill applies Acme Corporation brand guidelines to generated documents so every output is visually consistent and on-message. It enforces colors, typography, logo placement, layouts, and standardized phrasing across presentations, spreadsheets, and PDFs. Use it to produce professional external communications that meet corporate standards.
How this skill works
The skill inspects document type and automatically applies the appropriate template rules: color palette, font family and sizes, logo placement, margins, and component styles. It validates charts, tables, and numeric formats against brand rules and flags violations like incorrect fonts, colors, or missing logos. It can also run a compliance check and produce a short report of any deviations for manual review.
When to use it
- Preparing external presentations or client-facing slide decks
- Exporting final PDFs or reports for distribution
- Generating standardized Excel workbooks and charts
- Automating brand compliance checks before publication
- Creating templates for recurring reports or proposals
Best practices
- Start every document with the correct template for slides, spreadsheets, or PDFs
- Include the logo on the first page/slide and respect clear-space and size rules
- Use the specified font stack (Segoe UI, system-ui, -apple-system, sans-serif) and the defined font hierarchy
- Limit slides to six bullet points and follow layout margin rules
- Run the validation report before finalizing to catch color, font, and data-format issues
Example use cases
- Create a client pitch deck that uses the Title, Section Divider, and Content Slide templates with Acme Blue headers
- Generate an executive PDF report with header/footer, 1-inch margins, and branded headings
- Build an Excel dashboard with headers in Acme Blue, alternating row shading, and brand-colored charts
- Validate an existing marketing deck for prohibited elements like gradients, animations, or unapproved fonts
- Automate weekly performance reports using the Data Slide and chart color defaults
FAQ
No. Logo placement and size are enforced but the skill does not alter logo artwork. Images may be flagged if they violate prohibited elements; approved replacements should be provided.
How does it handle exceptions for special projects?
Exceptions must be documented and approved. The skill can accept an exceptions list so approved deviations are not flagged during validation.
