Overview

This skill connects you to Glean, a work knowledge agent that synthesizes across 100+ enterprise apps to answer questions about your company, accounts, colleagues, meetings, documents, and work history. It returns concise, context-aware answers with source citations so you can verify every claim. Use it when you need fast, accurate workplace intelligence without hunting through multiple systems.

How this skill works

Send a natural-language question to the chat tool and Glean automatically searches indexed communications, documents, calendar events, CRM records, code, tickets, and people data. It synthesizes findings into a single answer, links back to source documents, and maintains identity-aware context so responses reflect what you can access. For multi-turn workflows, include prior responses as context to drill down.

When to use it

  • Preparing for a customer meeting or 1:1
  • Getting a rapid account or deal briefing
  • Researching a colleague’s role or recent activity
  • Investigating the history of a ticket, bug, or decision
  • Summarizing recent work or weekly priorities

Best practices

  • Start broad and then ask focused follow-ups to dig into specifics
  • Be explicit about the asset or timeframe (e.g., account name, meeting date) for faster, more relevant results
  • Include previous response objects via the context parameter for multi-turn conversations
  • Trust and verify: use the provided citations to open original documents or threads
  • Expect a short indexing lag; if something’s missing, check permissions or wait for indexing

Example use cases

  • Prep for a customer call: recent context, open issues, and last meeting notes with sources
  • Account handoff brief: adoption status, key stakeholders, risks, and prior AIOM notes
  • Investigate incidents: compile request IDs, ticket history, and relevant logs or emails
  • Weekly planning: recommended priorities based on calendar, recent activity, and outstanding tasks
  • Find the right SME: who owns a topic, their contact info, and recent communications

FAQ

No. Glean is identity-aware and automatically uses your authenticated identity to filter results to what you can access.

Will Glean show full files or raw spreadsheets?

Glean returns synthesized answers and source snippets with links. For raw spreadsheet analysis, upload the file to an appropriate tool or open the source directly.
