Overview
This skill analyzes blog posts and pages to improve SEO quality and content authority. It evaluates title structure, keyword usage, readability, internal linking, image alt text, and E‑E‑A‑T signals, then delivers prioritized, actionable recommendations. The output includes content strategy advice for pillar pages, topic clusters, cannibalization fixes, and Featured Snippets optimization.
How this skill works
The skill scans HTML and text to detect heading hierarchy, keyword density and distribution, paragraph and sentence length, link patterns, and multimedia attributes. It rates E‑E‑A‑T components (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) and flags gaps like missing author pages, absent citations, or weak internal linking. It produces a 100‑point style audit and a short roadmap of prioritized fixes and content calendar suggestions.
When to use it
- Before publishing new long‑form content to ensure structure and snippet readiness
- When performing a site content audit to identify authority and cannibalization issues
- To optimize existing pages for Featured Snippets and higher SERP visibility
- When building or expanding pillar pages and topic clusters
- To prepare content for bilingual or local SEO campaigns
Best practices
- Use one H1 per page and maintain logical H1→H2→H3 order with descriptive headings
- Place the main keyword in title, H1, first 100 words, and URL when possible; include LSI and long‑tail terms in H2s
- Keep paragraphs short (3–5 sentences) and sentences concise; use lists, tables, and callouts for clarity
- Add descriptive alt text and optimized filenames for images; include captions, responsive sizing, and video transcripts
- Create pillar pages (2,000+ words) linking to 5–10 cluster posts; avoid keyword cannibalization by assigning unique intents
- Show E‑E‑A‑T: author bios, case studies with data, authoritative citations, last updated dates, contact and privacy pages
Example use cases
- Quick pre‑publish audit for a new blog post to optimize headings and snippet potential
- Monthly E‑E‑A‑T review to add case studies, citations, and update author pages
- Sitewide internal link audit to convert topic clusters into cohesive pillar structures
- Detecting and resolving keyword cannibalization across multiple posts
- Optimizing multimedia: adding alt text, compressing images, and adding video schema
FAQ
No. It provides specific, prioritized recommendations and examples for edits; content changes remain manual or handled by your chosen editor.
Can it detect keyword cannibalization across an entire site?
Yes. It analyzes target keywords across pages, flags overlap, and suggests merging, differentiating intents, or 301 redirects with clear next steps.
