Overview
This skill delivers a concise, scannable daily news briefing focused on international and Singapore headlines in a professional executive format. It returns two verified international stories and two Singapore stories, each with a short context sentence and a direct source link. Output is optimized for quick reading and inclusion in morning briefs or status updates.
How this skill works
The skill searches recent articles from high-credibility news outlets, selects top stories published within the last 24–48 hours, and extracts a headline, one-sentence context, and the source URL. It verifies publication recency and source credibility, then formats the results into an executive snapshot that is easy to scan and share. Where API integration is available, it can pull structured results automatically; otherwise it uses targeted web searches and manual verification.
When to use it
- When you need a rapid daily briefing for executives or teams
- To get both international and Singapore perspectives in one summary
- Before meetings, stand-ups, or daily planning sessions
- When you require verified sources and direct links for follow-up
- To prepare concise situational awareness updates for stakeholders
Best practices
- Keep each context to one short sentence focused on significance and impact
- Always include direct, working URLs to the original article
- Prefer stories from established outlets (Reuters, AP, BBC, CNA, Straits Times)
- Prioritize articles published today or within the last 48 hours
- Balance topics across business, politics, technology, and human interest
Example use cases
- Morning executive brief emailed to leadership with four top items
- Pre-meeting packet for cross-border teams needing current events context
- Daily operations stand-up to surface regional risks or market-moving news
- Investor update summarizing near-term headlines affecting strategy

Which sources are used?
