Overview
This skill transforms resume work into a managed, structured workflow that extracts your existing resume data, maintains a career database, and generates one-page, professionally styled PDF resumes tailored to specific job roles. It selects the most relevant experiences, projects, education, and skills for each application and optimizes content for ATS parsing and human readers.
How this skill works
On first use it extracts personal info, work history, projects, education, skills, certifications, and other sections from an uploaded or pasted resume and saves them in a structured database. For a specific job, it analyzes the job title and description to identify keywords and requirements, filters and ranks the stored items by relevance, and generates a one-page PDF optimized for both ATS and hiring managers. You can add or update experiences, projects, skills, and certifications later; the database drives all subsequent tailored outputs.
When to use it
- Create a tailored resume for a specific job application
- Import and structure data from an existing resume or LinkedIn profile
- Update or add work experience, projects, certifications, or skills
- Generate an ATS-friendly one-page PDF resume
- Maintain a living portfolio and track career progression
Best practices
- Provide a current resume or profile for the initial import to populate the database
- When requesting a tailored resume, share the job title and full job description or key requirements
- Keep bullet points metric-driven and concise (prefer 1–2 lines each)
- Group and prioritize skills by relevance to the target role
- Update the database immediately after completing projects or earning certifications
Example use cases
- Import an old resume and produce a focused one-page PDF for a Senior Backend Engineer role
- Add a new project and regenerate a resume that highlights real-time analytics work
- Update skills after a training course and export a resume emphasizing new competencies
- Search the career database for 'machine learning' to surface relevant roles and projects
- Export the entire profile as JSON for backup or cross-platform use
FAQ

Can I edit the extracted data before generating a resume?
Yes. You can add or update personal info, experiences, projects, education, skills, and certifications in the database and then regenerate the resume.
