Overview
This skill plans programmatic SEO (PSEO) strategies to generate scalable, high-value content automatically. It guides selection of viable opportunities, page architecture, data collection, content shaping, display templates, and promotion tactics. Use it to design repeatable systems that produce hundreds of distinct pages with real user value.
How this skill works
The planner evaluates PSEO viability using criteria like keyword patterns, estimated page counts, search volume, and data availability. It defines a hierarchical URL and content structure, prescribes data pipelines (UGC, APIs, scraping, AI), and outlines enrichment, tagging, and QA steps. Finally, it specifies page templates, dynamic elements, promotion/monetization options, and anti-patterns to avoid common failures.
When to use it
- You can generate 100+ unique pages from a repeatable template.
- You have structured data or a method to collect it (UGC, API, scraping).
- Keywords follow clear, scalable patterns (e.g., "{city} photographers").
- You need to build directories, galleries, or idea generators at scale.
- You plan to monetize through CTAs, tools, or product placement.
Best practices
- Validate opportunities with keyword pattern, volume, and KD thresholds before building.
- Ensure each page targets a distinct long-tail keyword to prevent cannibalization.
- Provide at least 100–200 unique words and clear enrichment per page to avoid thin content.
- Use AI to assist enrichment and tagging but include human review and unique value.
- Roll out pages gradually to protect crawl budget and monitor indexing and quality.
Example use cases
- Local directories: {city} + service pages populated from APIs and reviews.
- Inspiration galleries: image-driven catalogs auto-generated from UGC and AI tags.
- Idea generators: themed lists (tattoos, names, prompts) that build pages as items reach thresholds.
- Comparison hubs: structured tool/product comparisons assembled from data and summaries.
- Landing page inspiration: industry/page-type hierarchy with component links and CTAs.
FAQ
Target 100+ pages for programmatic scale; smaller sets (3–50) are better built manually.
Can I use AI to generate all content?
AI is fine for assistance, summaries, and tagging, but always add human review and unique data to avoid low-quality pages.
What data sources work best?
UGC and reliable APIs are ideal for uniqueness and scale; public datasets and careful scraping are useful but may need processing and legal review.
