Documentation & install
Readme and setup notes from the catalogue, plus a client-ready config you can copy for your MCP host.
Norman MCP Server connects your accounting, invoicing, and VAT filing workflows to Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and any MCP-compatible AI to streamline financial operations and keep data in sync across tools.
How to use
You connect your preferred MCP-enabled AI or automation tool to Norman MCP Server using the provided MCP URL. Once connected, you can access and manage invoicing, bookkeeping, client data, and tax filings directly within your AI assistant. Use the server to generate Finanzamt previews, file VAT returns, attach receipts, sync payments, and send reminders from your AI workflows.
How to install
Prerequisites: none for the server itself if you are using the remote MCP endpoint. You will need access to your MCP-enabled AI client (for example Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client) and an active Norman account if required by the client integration.
-
Ensure you have an MCP-enabled AI client ready (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n, or another MCP client).
-
Use the MCP URL to connect your AI client to Norman MCP Server.
-
Follow your client’s steps to add an MCP remote server and paste the URL below when prompted.
-
Authorize and complete the connection flow in your AI client. Your password will never touch the AI, as authentication flows are handled by each client’s OAuth or secure credential mechanism.
HTTP MCP server URL
The remote MCP endpoint to connect to is: https://mcp.norman.finance/mcp
Available actions and capabilities
Once connected, you can perform actions such as:“Invoicing” to create and send invoices, “Bookkeeping” to categorize and verify entries, “Tax Filing” to generate previews and file VAT returns, and “Documents” to attach receipts and supporting files. You can also manage clients, view a company overview, and receive overdue invoice reminders. Each action is exposed as a capability within your AI client’s MCP integration to streamline your financial workflows.
Security and data handling
All authentication and data exchange with the AI client are handled by the client’s secure OAuth workflows or credential mechanisms. Norman MCP Server provides a centralized endpoint for MCP-enabled clients to access your financial data while keeping passwords and sensitive credentials out of the AI assistants.
