Turn2X Raises €20M Series A to Scale Renewable Natural Gas Production
Turn2X Secures €20 Million Series A
Turn2X, a Munich-based energy technology company, has raised €20 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Antwerpen Ventures and included participation from Verve Ventures, First Momentum Ventures, LEA Partners, Tilman Weide, Christoph Zinsser, and Marcelino Oreja. The funding date is September 15, 2026.
What Turn2X Does
Turn2X produces renewable natural gas (e-methane) from renewable electricity. Its modular plants are co-located with renewable power sources and use only water and biogenic CO2 as inputs. The output is a drop-in replacement for fossil gas that moves through existing pipeline networks to industrial customers.
Commercial Progress
The company inaugurated its first commercial plant in Miajadas, Spain, in 2024. It sells its full output under long-term offtake contracts.
Use of Funds
The company has not specified the use of proceeds. However, the Series A round will likely support further deployment of its modular plants and expansion of its commercial operations.
Market Context
Turn2X operates in the renewable natural gas sector, which is gaining attention as a way to decarbonize gas networks and provide drop-in solutions for industrial customers. The company's focus on e-methane from renewable electricity and biogenic CO2 positions it in the emerging power-to-gas market.
Investors
The round was led by Antwerpen Ventures, with additional backing from Verve Ventures, First Momentum Ventures, LEA Partners, and angel investors Tilman Weide, Christoph Zinsser, and Marcelino Oreja.
