Konko AI Raises $6M Series A to Expand AI-Powered Patient Journey Platform in Latin America

Konko AI, a developer of an AI platform that manages patient journeys for healthcare clinics and hospitals across Latin America, has raised $6 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Hi Ventures, with participation from Ground Up Ventures, LifeX Ventures, Phoenix Fund, and Square One Capital.

Founded in Costa Rica and operating from San Jose with a presence in New York, Konko AI's platform includes an assistant named Kora that answers patients around the clock over channels such as WhatsApp. Kora handles scheduling, triage, intake, and post-appointment follow-up. The broader suite spans front-office automation, patient reactivation, unified interoperable patient records, and real-time analytics.

According to the company, it has facilitated more than two million patient interactions across 90 healthcare institutions and 60 specialties in Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica. Approximately three quarters of these interactions are handled end-to-end by AI.

The new funding will support Konko AI's expansion efforts across the region, building on its existing footprint in three countries. The company aims to further deploy its AI-driven solutions to improve patient engagement and operational efficiency for healthcare providers.

This Series A round underscores investor confidence in AI-powered healthcare solutions tailored to the Latin American market. With a strong track record of patient interactions and a scalable platform, Konko AI is positioned to continue its growth trajectory.
