xorlab Raises €5M Series A for AI-Driven Email Security

Zurich-based cybersecurity company xorlab has raised €5 million in a Series A funding round, according to a filing dated September 1, 2026. The round was led by Spicehaus Partners, with participation from EquityPitcher Ventures, Zürcher Kantonalbank, and Grapha Holding.

xorlab, an ETH Zürich spin-off founded in 2015, specializes in behavior-based, AI-driven email security. Its platform is designed to block advanced phishing and business email compromise attacks that often bypass traditional filters and Microsoft 365's native defenses. The technology evaluates each message in the context of an organization's communication patterns, providing a more nuanced threat detection approach.

The company also supports security operations center (SOC) teams with email-flow analytics and abuse-mailbox automation, helping streamline incident response. xorlab's solutions can be deployed on-premises, in hybrid configurations, or via European cloud data centers, which assists customers in meeting regulatory requirements such as DORA, NIS2, and GDPR.

xorlab's client base includes notable organizations such as Julius Bär, Swisscom, Vontobel, G+D Netcetera, and CERN. The new funding is expected to accelerate the company's growth and further develop its email security offerings.
