WED raises Series C+ from Global Brain, TOPPAN, giftee and Skyfall
WED Raises Series C+ Round
WED, a Tokyo-based data and marketing company, has raised a Series C+ round. The round was backed by Global Brain Corporation, TOPPAN Holdings Inc., giftee Inc., and Skyfall Inc. The funding amount was not disclosed.
What WED Does
WED turns consumer receipts into purchase data. Its receipt-buyback app ONE launched in 2018 and has collected more than 1.9 billion receipts.
In 2025, the company launched its Performance Media Network (PMN) with giftee. The PMN lets consumer-goods makers and retailers run purchase-linked ad campaigns across partner media apps, using AI-based receipt verification.

- Series C from Akatsuki in 2022

Why It Matters
WED's core asset is its receipt data set — more than 1.9 billion receipts collected through the ONE app since 2018. That data underpins the Performance Media Network, which connects consumer-goods makers and retailers with purchase-linked advertising across partner media apps, verified through AI-based receipt checks.
The Series C+ brings together a mix of investors, including giftee, which partnered with WED on the PMN launch, alongside Global Brain Corporation, TOPPAN Holdings Inc., and Skyfall Inc. The continued backing follows earlier support from Akatsuki, giftee, and Dawn Capital, indicating sustained investor interest in WED's receipt-data and purchase-linked advertising model.
