iPremom Secures €15M Seed to Advance Early Prediction of Pregnancy Complications

iPremom, a molecular diagnostics company based in Paterna, Valencia, has raised €15 million in a Seed round. The funding was announced on September 2, 2026, with Amadeus Capital Partners leading the round. APEX Ventures and Asabys Partners also participated.

Founded in 2019 by Professor Carlos Simon and Dr Tamara Garrido, and led by CEO Guillermo Ferrando Huertas, iPremom focuses on the earliest prediction of pregnancy complications. The company developed the MaiRa platform, which analyzes cell-free RNA signals from a single maternal blood sample to assess the risk of complications such as preeclampsia from week 9 of pregnancy, before symptoms appear.

MaiRa was built on data from more than 26,000 samples linked to 10,000 pregnancies in the PREMOM prospective clinical study. The platform is currently available in Spain through the company-owned laboratory.

The funding will support iPremom’s efforts to expand access to its innovative diagnostic platform, potentially improving maternal and fetal health outcomes by enabling earlier interventions. With this investment, iPremom aims to further validate and commercialize its technology, addressing a critical need in prenatal care.
