Pure Capture Innovations Raises £530K Pre-Seed for Water Purification Tech
Pure Capture Innovations, an Oxford-based deep-tech company developing sustainable carbon-based adsorbents for water purification, has raised £530,000 in a pre-seed round. The investment was led by SFC Capital, with participation from the British Business Bank and Carbon 13.
The company focuses on removing persistent micropollutants such as PFAS, hormones, pharmaceuticals, dyes, and microplastics from water. Its adsorbents are designed to integrate with existing treatment infrastructure used by water companies and industrial users, avoiding the need for costly process rebuilds.
Pure Capture Innovations also offers rapid adsorbent assessment and PFAS water testing services from its Materials Research Centre at the Wood Centre for Innovation in Headington, Oxford.
The funding will support the company's ongoing development and commercialization efforts. This pre-seed round marks an important step for the company as it seeks to address growing concerns about water contamination.
