HyperVisual AI Secures Seed Funding

HyperVisual AI (하이퍼비주얼AI), a South Korean edge-AI semiconductor startup, has raised a Seed round led by The Invention LAB, with participation from Abraxas. The funding date is September 7, 2026. The company did not disclose the amount of the round.

What HyperVisual AI Does

Founded in September 2023 and led by CEO Jung Sam-yoon (정삼윤), HyperVisual AI is developing the FLINT GPNPU, a hybrid AI processor that merges an NPU's matrix engine with a programmable GPGPU in a single architecture using a shared memory interface. According to the company, this design cuts inter-processor data-copy latency and power as Transformer, multimodal and VLM models outgrow fixed-function NPUs.

The FLINT GPNPU targets edge devices that are underserved by NVIDIA Jetson on price, power and form factor. The company works with ADAS and CCTV chip makers and AMR OEMs on VLM/Transformer-based PoCs. In addition to silicon, HyperVisual AI develops lightweight edge AI models, an SDK and an AI model management platform.

Team and Traction

The startup is built by a team of roughly 10 specialists averaging 15+ years in semiconductors and AI. It raised a KRW 600M seed in August 2025 and was selected for a Ministry of SMEs TIPS R&D program in November 2025.
