Computis Raises €2M Pre-Seed to Automate Accounting for Italian SMEs
Computis Secures €2M Pre-Seed
Computis, a Milan-based startup founded in 2026, has raised €2 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by The Techshop SGR and included participation from Vento Ventures, Alpha Venture, Moonstone Venture Capital, HEARTFELT, Alecla7, P3 Ventures, and Zanichelli Venture.
What Computis Does
Computis combines accounting software, AI automation, and human expertise to give Italian SMEs a real-time view of their finances. The platform automates repetitive accounting work, including:
- Document collection
- Retrieval of foreign supplier invoices
- Bank reconciliation
- Invoicing
An in-house team of bookkeepers reviews the output, while a network of independent partner accountants handles tax and advisory work on the same data. This hybrid model aims to reduce manual effort for SMEs while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Founding Team
Computis was founded by CEO Enrico Nicosia, CRO Riccardo Donatelli, and CPTO Leonardo Drici. The three previously worked together at Jet HR after stints at Spendesk, Amazon, Deliveroo, and Eurostar.
Market Context
The funding comes as Italian SMEs continue to seek digital tools that simplify financial management. By pairing automation with human review, Computis targets a segment that often relies on fragmented software and manual processes. The pre-seed round provides capital to further develop the platform and expand its reach among Italian small and medium-sized businesses.
Acquisition Angle
For acquirers in fintech, accounting software, or SME services, Computis represents an early-stage asset with a differentiated model: AI-driven automation backed by in-house bookkeepers and a partner accountant network. The founding team's experience at high-growth companies like Spendesk and Amazon may signal operational strength. As the company scales, its real-time financial view for SMEs could become an attractive integration point for larger platforms seeking to serve the Italian market.
