Magnar raises $8M Series A led by 6 Degrees Capital for legal AI in Latin America

Magnar Closes $8M Series A

Chilean legaltech startup Magnar has raised US$8,000,000 in Series A funding. The round was led by 6 Degrees Capital, with participation from Hi Ventures, Nascent Invest, Fen Ventures, Platanus Ventures, Beccar Varela and Estudio Muñiz.

What Magnar Does

Magnar operates an agentic AI platform for lawyers across Latin America. The platform searches case law and local regulatory sources, analyzes case files and drafts legal documents. It integrates with tools lawyers use daily, including Outlook and Gmail, and offers e-signature, document management, and iOS and Windows apps.

The company was founded by engineers Andres Arellano, Nicolas Lopez and Andres Rodriguez.

Traction

Magnar reports roughly 400 law-firm and corporate clients and about 40,000 monthly active users. It has surpassed US$4 million in ARR. The platform operates in Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Brazil and Mexico.

Leading regional law firms including Carey, Beccar Varela and Estudio Muniz use the platform and sit among its investors.

Why It Matters

Legal work is document- and research-intensive, and much of it is jurisdiction-specific. Magnar's focus on Latin American case law and local regulatory sources differentiates it from global legal AI tools that may not cover regional legal systems in depth. Its agentic approach, which combines search, analysis and drafting, targets the core workflows of legal professionals rather than a single point solution.

The presence of major regional law firms as both users and investors signals strong alignment with the target market. Reported ARR above US$4 million and 40,000 monthly active users indicate meaningful commercial traction across multiple countries.

Acquisition Angle

For acquirers in legaltech, enterprise AI or professional services software, Magnar offers a multi-country Latin American footprint, a client base that includes leading law firms, and a product suite that plugs into existing lawyer workflows. The investor group includes both venture funds and law firms, which may support further market penetration.

Outlook

The Series A provides capital to expand across the nine markets where Magnar already operates and to deepen its platform capabilities. As legal AI adoption grows in Latin America, the company's regional specialization and law-firm relationships position it as a notable player in the segment.
