Footprint Raises $25M Series B Led by QED Investors for Agentic Compliance OS
Footprint Closes $25M Series B
Footprint, the company behind an AI operating system for risk and financial crime compliance, has raised a $25 million Series B round. The round was led by QED Investors.
Additional participation came from Commerce Ventures, MUFG, Operator Partners, Lightbank, Lerer Hippeau, Alumni Ventures, Animal Capital, Index Ventures and BoxGroup.
What Footprint Does
Footprint's platform is built around Percy, an agentic compliance system. Percy learns how an institution runs its compliance program and then executes compliance work end to end — including KYC, KYB, AML, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening and transaction-monitoring investigations.
A defining characteristic of the platform is its audit posture. Percy's work is delivered with citations, timestamps and task-level audit trails, giving compliance teams a traceable record of how each investigation was conducted and concluded.
Beneath Percy sits Trust Fabric, which turns each investigation into governed organizational memory. That memory compounds across teams, so institutional knowledge from one case can inform the next. The operating model is deliberately human-in-the-loop: agents propose, humans approve.
Who It Serves
Footprint's customer base includes FDIC- and OCC-regulated banks as well as fintechs. Named customers include Bilt, Nuvei and MoonPay.
Serving regulated banks and fintechs places Footprint in a segment where compliance workflows are both high-volume and heavily scrutinized. The combination of agentic execution with citations and audit trails is aimed squarely at that environment.
Why This Round Matters
The Series B gives Footprint additional capital to scale an agentic compliance platform at a moment when financial institutions are evaluating how to apply AI to risk and financial crime operations without losing governance.
The investor list blends fintech-focused venture capital with strategic and institutional participation, including MUFG. That mix reflects the dual nature of Footprint's market: it must satisfy venture-scale growth expectations while meeting the requirements of regulated financial institutions.
