Newwave raises seed round led by Canadia Impact Fund for RE:AI enterprise platform
Newwave Closes Seed Round Led by Canadia Impact Fund
Newwave, a Phnom Penh-based software and artificial-intelligence company, has raised a seed round led by Canadia Impact Fund. The funding amount was not disclosed.
What Newwave Does
Founded in 2024, Newwave provides AI transformation and custom software development services to medium-sized and large organizations. More than 70% of its clients are located outside Cambodia, giving the company a predominantly international customer base despite its Phnom Penh headquarters.
Beyond services, Newwave is building RE:AI, a hybrid enterprise-resource-planning and AI platform. RE:AI is designed around specialized agents that help businesses run core operations, including:
- Sales
- Marketing
- Accounting
- Supply chain
- Human resources
The combination of an ERP foundation with AI agents places Newwave in the emerging category of agentic enterprise software, where autonomous or semi-autonomous agents execute operational workflows rather than simply surfacing insights.
The Round at a Glance
- Company: Newwave
- Stage: Seed
- Lead Investor: Canadia Impact Fund
- Announced: September 16, 2026
- Headquarters: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
- Sector: AI transformation services and enterprise AI/ERP software
Why It Matters
Newwave's dual model — delivering AI transformation services while developing its own RE:AI product — gives it a services-led path into enterprise accounts and a product-led path to scale. The company's client base, weighted heavily toward organisations outside Cambodia, suggests demand for its services extends well beyond its home market.
The RE:AI platform targets the ERP layer, a large and entrenched software category. By building specialized agents for discrete business functions, Newwave is betting that enterprises will adopt AI through functional entry points rather than wholesale platform replacement.
Backing and Positioning
Canadia Impact Fund leads the seed round, providing institutional backing as Newwave develops RE:AI and expands its AI transformation practice. The fund's participation signals continued investor interest in Southeast Asian enterprise AI ventures with cross-border customer traction.
For strategic acquirers and investors tracking the agentic enterprise software space, Newwave offers exposure to both AI services revenue and an early-stage ERP-plus-agents product in a region with growing enterprise digitisation demand.
