Archeon Medical raises $9M Series A led by Newfund for emergency ventilation monitoring
Archeon Medical Closes $9M Series A
Archeon Medical, a medical technology company based in Besançon, France, has raised $9 million in Series A funding. The round was announced on October 6, 2026, and was led by Newfund. Additional investors include Majycc Innovation Santé (a UI Investissement fund), Eiffel Investment Group, Karot Capital, and UI Investissement.
Focus on Emergency Ventilation
Archeon Medical specializes in emergency ventilation monitoring. Its flagship product, EOlife, is a ventilation feedback device designed for use during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The device measures the tidal volume actually reaching a cardiac arrest patient's lungs and provides real-time visual guidance to rescuers. This helps prevent both hyperventilation and under-ventilation, two common issues during emergency ventilation.
EOlife is FDA-cleared and CE-marked, allowing it to be marketed in the United States and Europe. The device is used by emergency responders, hospitals, and military organizations across both regions. Archeon Medical operates a New York subsidiary to support its US presence.
Clinical Evidence
A 2025 French field study found that use of EOlife tripled 30-day survival with full neurological recovery among cardiac arrest patients. Independent clinical investigations are currently underway in the United States to confirm these results. If validated, this evidence could drive broader adoption of the device among emergency medical services and hospitals.
Market and Use Cases
Cardiac arrest remains a leading cause of death worldwide, and effective CPR is critical to survival. However, delivering correct ventilation is challenging even for trained rescuers. EOlife addresses this gap by providing objective feedback, potentially improving outcomes and reducing variability in care. The device's adoption by military organizations also highlights its utility in austere or tactical environments where precise ventilation is essential.
Investors and Use of Funds
The Series A round was led by Newfund, with participation from Majycc Innovation Santé (managed by UI Investissement), Eiffel Investment Group, Karot Capital, and UI Investissement. The company has not disclosed specific plans for the proceeds, but the funding will likely support further clinical validation, US market expansion, and commercial scaling.
What's Next
With $9 million in new capital, Archeon Medical is positioned to advance its clinical evidence base and expand its footprint in the US and Europe. The ongoing US clinical investigations will be important for building confidence among American healthcare providers and payers. As the company grows, its ability to demonstrate improved survival outcomes could make EOlife a standard tool in emergency care.
