PeopleX Announces ¥5.5 Billion Series A Funding

Tokyo-based AI company PeopleX has raised ¥5.5 billion in a Series A round, as disclosed on September 2, 2026. The round included participation from World Innovation Lab (WiL), Angel Bridge, One Capital, en Japan, and Open Up Group. No lead investor was specified.

About PeopleX

Founded in April 2024, PeopleX automates HR workflows with conversational AI products, including PeopleX AI Interview, AI Roleplay, and AI one-on-one sessions. These tools are used by more than 3,000 organizations, including AEON, Seven-Eleven Japan, CyberAgent, and West Japan Railway.

The company's ARR reached ¥1 billion within 15 months of launch. PeopleX is now expanding into the sales domain with PeopleX AI Sales and is building MotherAI OS 「Athena」, an HR-specialized LLM platform operated in-house in Japan.

Growth Plans

PeopleX targets ¥100 billion in revenue by fiscal 2031, with a planned IPO on the horizon.
