TabaPay Secures $155M Series C+ to Expand Real-Time Payment Platform

NovaGo Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing anti-Nogo-A antibody biologics for central nervous system (CNS) diseases, has secured CHF 24 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Pureos Bioventures, with participation from Neurimmune. The investment will support the advancement of its lead candidate NG004 into a proof-of-concept trial in acute spinal cord injury.

NovaGo Therapeutics is a University of Zurich spin-off founded in 2015 and headquartered in Schlieren, Switzerland. The company focuses on promoting nerve regeneration and functional recovery in CNS diseases and injuries, including spinal cord injury, stroke, and secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. Its proprietary anti-Nogo-A antibodies target the Nogo-A protein, which inhibits nerve growth, thereby enabling repair mechanisms.

Lead Candidate NG004

NG004, developed in collaboration with Neurimmune, is NovaGo's most advanced program. It has completed promising Phase 1 results, demonstrating a favorable safety profile and potential biological activity. The upcoming proof-of-concept trial will evaluate NG004 in patients with acute spinal cord injury, a condition with high unmet medical need and no approved regenerative therapies.

Funding Details

The Series B round was led by Pureos Bioventures, a venture capital firm specializing in healthcare investments. Neurimmune, a strategic partner, also participated. The funding will be used to advance NG004 through clinical development and to expand the company's pipeline of anti-Nogo-A therapies for other CNS indications.
