ZeroRisk raises $10M Series A to expand payments cyber risk platform

ZeroRisk Closes $10M Series A

ZeroRisk, an Irish cybersecurity and compliance technology company serving the payments industry, has raised $10 million in Series A funding. The round was led by MiddleGame Ventures, with Elkstone also participating.

What ZeroRisk Does

ZeroRisk provides a platform that gives banks, acquirers, processors, PayFacs and other financial institutions a single view of cyber risk across their merchant portfolios. The offering combines risk monitoring, PCI compliance, education, guided remediation and protection services.

Beyond pure compliance, ZeroRisk positions its platform as a way for payment providers to turn compliance obligations into revenue-generating value-added services for merchants — shifting compliance from a cost centre into a commercial offering.

Customers and Reach

Founded in 2023, ZeroRisk operates from Dublin and Longford in Ireland and Atlanta in the United States. It serves customers across Europe and North America, including Bank of America, Global Payments, Checkout.com and Trust Payments.

That customer list places ZeroRisk squarely in the enterprise segment of the payments ecosystem, working with large acquirers, processors and financial institutions that manage substantial merchant portfolios.

The Funding

  • Round type: Series A
  • Amount: $10,000,000
  • Date: 9 September 2026
  • Lead investor: MiddleGame Ventures
  • Additional investors: Elkstone

Why It Matters

Merchant portfolio cyber risk is a persistent challenge for payment providers. Each merchant represents a potential point of exposure, and PCI compliance obligations create ongoing monitoring and remediation work across large, constantly changing portfolios.

ZeroRisk's single-view approach addresses the operational problem of managing that risk at scale, while its value-added services angle addresses the commercial problem — helping providers justify and monetise the compliance work they already perform on behalf of merchants.

The company's transatlantic footprint, with operations in Ireland and the US, aligns with a customer base spanning Europe and North America.

What to Watch

With Series A capital in place, ZeroRisk's trajectory will depend on deepening relationships with existing enterprise customers, expanding within the payments ecosystem, and demonstrating that compliance-driven services can reliably generate merchant-facing revenue.

For acquirers and investors focused on payments infrastructure and cybersecurity, ZeroRisk sits at the intersection of two durable demand areas: regulatory compliance and portfolio-level risk visibility across merchant networks.
