Yngvi Bio is a University of Copenhagen spin-out developing protein-based crop protection that targets agricultural pests with precision, aiming to replace chemical pesticides while protecting biodiversity, soil and water. Founded by insect biologist Kenneth Veland Halberg and protein scientist Eva Maria Rebrova, the company combines AI, protein design and insect genetics to deliver pest control without chemical residues. Based in Copenhagen, it emerged through the Spin-outs Denmark programme and the BioInnovation Institute, whose lab facilities, network and follow-on convertible-loan funding support its path to market.
