Watney builds dual-arm robots that handle physical datacenter operations such as cable replacement, server restarts and maintenance for hyperscale customers under an end-to-end deployment model. Founded in San Francisco in 2023 by Ryan Gannon and Sean Cheong, the company has served major hyperscalers since 2025, including Meta, which has trialed its robots at datacenter sites in Iowa and Ohio. Watney reports more than 99.99% reliability across hundreds of thousands of hours in customer facilities and says it runs the largest 24/7 fleet of dexterous robots in the United States.
