Volve is an Oslo-based startup building an AI platform that automates construction tendering and preconstruction decisions, parsing tender and contract documents to map scope, requirements, and risk. The tool helps contractors decide which bids to pursue, price projects, and evaluate subcontractor offers in a €1.6 trillion European construction market that still runs largely on PDFs. Founded in 2024 by Herman B. Smith, Abyl Ikshanov, and Alf Jørgen Dovland, Volve is already used on 2,500+ Nordic construction projects and is expanding into the UK and Continental Europe.
