Viraj Aero is a Toulouse-based deep-tech startup developing steam-injection gas-turbine technology to decarbonize aviation, targeting both CO2 and non-CO2 emissions such as NOx and contrails. Founded in 2024 by Joseph Risson and Mathilde Bouilloux, it is building the EYJA propulsion system for light aviation and the Ailefroide four-seat demonstrator, with a first flight planned for 2027.
