Viatik is a Uruguayan peer-to-peer intercity mobility platform that connects drivers with passengers traveling between cities to share fuel and toll costs, alongside bus ticket sales. Founded in 2022 in Montevideo by four university friends, it runs carpool routes across Uruguay and Argentina and reports more than 40,000 seats sold in 2026, with Argentina generating roughly nine in ten of its transactions. Its backers include Silicon Valley accelerator Plug and Play, for which Viatik was the first direct investment in a Uruguay-based startup.
