Velocity is a Kenyan labour-mobility startup, launched in June 2025, that trains qualified African nurses in German to the B2 level required by German employers and regulators and places them with hospitals in Germany through certified placement partners. Its tech-enabled programme pairs a proprietary language-learning app built for clinical contexts with online instruction from Kenyan nurses already working in Germany, income-share-agreement financing options, and employer-paid placement fees, so nurses pay only a refundable commitment fee. The company reports 300+ active learners and a waitlist of more than 2,500, and says every candidate who has interviewed with an employer has been placed.
