Unit1 Studio is a London-based music technology company that produces mixed-reality avatar concerts, staging shows fronted by hyper-realistic digital avatars of artists who no longer tour or who have died, built from archive footage blended with lookalike performers. Founded in 2025 by Barney Wragg, former CEO of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group (now LW Entertainment), it has developed technology that moves productions between venues in days rather than months, aiming to make avatar concerts economically viable beyond single-venue formats such as ABBA Voyage. The company has tested the technology with KT Tunstall and is backed by Balderton Capital, Mercuri, Gilston Music and Paul McGuinness.
