Ubitium is a semiconductor startup founded in 2024 in Dusseldorf, Germany, by Hyun Shin Cho and Martin Vorbach, building a universal RISC-V processor for physical AI: machines such as robots, drones, vehicles and industrial equipment that must perceive, think and act in real time. Its runtime-reconfigurable processor array allocates compute between signal processing, AI inference and real-time control, replacing the stack of specialised DSP, NPU and CPU chips used in today's embedded systems. Its first chip, the UB108 on Samsung's 8nm process, proved the architecture in silicon within a year of founding, and the commercial UB410 with evaluation units is planned for 2027.
