Tumbleweed is a Vienna- and Delft-based spacetech startup founded in 2024 that sells access to microgravity through pre-certified, fault-isolated laboratory Pods flown on its Oasis orbital platforms. Customers install their experiments in a Pod while Tumbleweed handles certification, launch, orbital operations and data delivery, with missions starting at EUR 15,000. Its first spacecraft, Oasis Alpha, became Austria's first commercial satellite when it launched on a SpaceX Transporter-17 rideshare in July 2026, and the company is developing Oasis Beta, a platform with re-entry capability targeted for 2028.
