SynMatAI is a Shenzhen-based AI-for-materials company founded in 2024 that develops the SynMatAI platform and SynMat Agent, an end-to-end R&D agent linking foundation models, experiments, pilot runs and mass production for pan-semiconductor materials. Its materials work targets applications such as optical bonding materials for co-packaged optics, thermal interface materials for GPU and HBM packages, and electronic chemicals including photoresists and precursors, alongside new-materials and clean-energy use cases. About 80 percent of its team holds masters or doctoral degrees, with backgrounds at Huawei, ByteDance, Japan's AIST and US national laboratories, and the company has closed three rounds within a year, most recently a CNY 10M-class angel-plus round led exclusively by Qifu Capital.
