Surghive is a Teesside-based, clinically led medtech startup building manufacturer-independent immersive VR training software for robotic surgery. Co-founded by robotic colorectal surgeon Dr Rachael Coates (CEO), former PwC director Christi Anderson (COO/CFO) and consultant colorectal surgeon Professor Deena Harji (CMO), the company formerly known as Robohive lets surgeons and operating-theatre teams train across robotic platforms rather than on a single manufacturer system. It won the Tech Start-Up Award at the Tees Tech Business Awards 2026 and is moving its platform toward commercialisation, supported by partners including the Royal College of Surgeons.
