Steribite, LLC is a privately held medical device company that develops sterile, single-use and limited-use surgical instruments for spine and neurosurgery, including its FDA 510(k)-cleared disposable Kerrison rongeur and the SteriSharp limited-use line. Spun out of Cleveland-based RJR Surgical and led by CEO John A. Redmond, the company merged with contract manufacturer Precision Manufacturing Group in 2021-2022 and now manufactures all of its products at its own facility in Wooster, Ohio. Its instruments are designed to replace reusable surgical instruments that are difficult to clean, expensive to maintain, and carry infection risk, improving operating-room efficiency and patient safety.
