slice is a Bengaluru-based consumer bank and the first Indian fintech to become a bank: it acquired North East Small Finance Bank in 2023 and merged with it to form slice small finance bank. It operates as a full-stack bank offering savings accounts, fixed deposits, UPI payments, a UPI-enabled credit card and digital lending, and has expanded into MSME and merchant lending and payments. Founded by Rajan Bajaj, the bank has raised nearly $400 million to date from backers including Tiger Global, Insight Partners, Advent International and Blume Ventures.
